Yes I know Christmas has come and gone. And so has the Feast of the Epiphany. But I simply wanted to say that Christmas isn’t just for children opening gifts on the morning of December 25th. What lovely sounds they make as they tear open the Christmas wrapping!

It’s also for parents taking full delight in the blessed gift of their children. It’s families finding joy in the food and the company and the loud peals of laughter.

It’s remembering the birth of our Lord in a stable, all those centuries ago.

Finally it’s your spouse surprising you with a video gaming console you thought you’d never ever have or deserve. And then it’s the ache in your right elbow after spending countless hours being beaten to a bloody pulp by your wife at Wii Bowling.

Merry (belated) Christmas!
